Buick LaCrosse - Pictures and Review

The Buick LaCrosse is produced by General Motors, It is  a mid-size luxury sedan and sold under the Buick brand. The LaCrosse replaced the Buick Century and Regal in North America beginning in the 2005 model year and is only available as a four-door sedan.

First generation (2005–2009)

To replace the Century and Regal, Buick LaCrosse made its debut in late 2004 as a 2005.
The LaCrosse is riding on a revised version of the W-body known as MS2000, and was initially available with two powerplant choices in three trim levels: a 3.6 L HFV6 V6 in the top line CXS model and a 3.8 L 3800 Series III V6 available in base CX and mid-level CXL forms. Via a 4T65-E automatic transmission (4T65-E HD on Super's) the power is routed to the front wheels
The French translation of LaCrosse means “self love” that’s because it was originally sold as Buick Allure in Canada.
On December 23, 2008 the last first-generation LaCrosse rolled off the assembly line.

2008 model year update

On the Buicj Velite concept was based the vehicle's front end design.  New body colour choices for LaCrosee include Gold Mist Metallic, Scarlett Red, Dark Slate Metallic, and Dark Mocha Metallic.
As added standard equipment, all trim levels now include: a chrome exterior appearance package, factory remote start feature, telescoping steering wheel column, XM Satellite Radio, dual-zone climate control and redundant steering wheel controls. CX added illuminated vanity mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, driver information center personalization, theft deterrent system and more.

Second generation (will appear in 20010)

The design of Buick LqCrosse replaces both the Chinese and North American models and was based on 2008 Buick Invicta concept. The new Buick Lacrosse is built upon the mid-size Epsilon II platform and is arriving as a 2010 model, which is also the basis for the 2010 Saab 9-5 and Opel Insignia. Buidk LaCrasse uses three types of  engine: 2.4 L Ecotec I4, 3.0 L HFV6 V6 and 3.6 L HFV6 V6

The vehicle was unveiled as the Buick Allure at the 2009 Montreal International Auto Show and at the 2009 NAIAS. In April 2009 at Auto Shanghai was shown the Chinese version. Buick states that the new LaCrosse will be "America's Lexus fighter".
Production of North American models was moved to the Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, from Oshawa. Due to quality concerns, delivery of 2010 year models of Buuck LaCrossse  was delayed a few weeks.
General Motors Canada renamed the Allure to LaCrosse, to correspond with the car's global marketing soon after production had begun.  GM Canada has offered existing Allure owners the option to change nameplates to LaCrossse.
Lacrosse will be sold in Mexico starting in October 2010, the Buick brand returns to the country after 13 years of absence.
